Hotwire Offers Las Vegas 5-Star Hotels For $50 A Night Hotwire.com says only 24% of Americans have ever stayed in a five-star hotel. So this week Hotwire is offering a deal to stay at a Las Vegas 5-star hotel for $50 per night. The deal is good for stays booked on Hotwire for travel between December 8-28, 2017, and availability is limited. Hotwire (an operating company of Expedia) says they’re spending $1 million to offset room costs and “give their customers a five star experience at a two star price.” The promotion will continue until the company has hit their million-dollar spend—so act quickly. To access the deal, go to Hotwire.com (or their mobile site), go to the hotel booking engine, and enter “Las Vegas” with dates between December 8 and 28. A listing that reads something like “5-star Casino Hotel in Center Strip, $50, 68% off” (or South or North Strip) will pop up if your date is still available. “I know it might sound too good to be true, so you may ask yourself, ‘what’s the catch?’” says Hotwire President Neha Parikh. “But it’s real. I am putting my money where my mouth is in terms of showing the incredible value we bring to people who love to travel.” So is there a catch? In addition to the limited availability of the rooms, you will still need to pay taxes (obviously lower on a $50 rate than a $200 one) and the resort fee, which on these hotels is a stiff $40 a night. There’s also a two-night maximum. Even so, if you can swing a two-night getaway to Vegas during the holiday season, $200 should buy you two nights in five-star luxury. To get the deal, use Hertz CDP# 217692 and PC# 203977 when you reserve. The deal is good on any car class and ends March 31, 2018.
