Captain Marvel is the next MCU movie set for release when it flies into theaters this March. There are still some questions surrounding the movie, but its runtime is no longer one of them.
With tickets for the movie going on sale very soon, theater chains have updated information for Captain Marvel, including the runtime for the highly anticipated MCU movie. According to AMC Theaters, Captain Marvel’s runtime will come in at two hours and ten minutes.
Interestingly, some other theater chains state a time of two hours and eight minutes or nine minutes, but the difference is negligible. What is worth taking note of is that the movie won’t be an epic three-hour long saga. It’ll do its job in telling Captain Marvel’s story while connecting to the overarching MCU storyline.
Marvel tends to keep its non-Avengers movies around that two-hour and ten-minute timeframe. They always go over two hours but never by much so as to keep things from dragging on. Here’s a look at how long MCU movies have been over the past two years excluding Avengers: Infinity War. Captain Marvel’s runtime falls right in line.
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp – 2 hours, 5 minutes
  • Black Panther – 2 hours, 15 minutes
  • Thor: Ragnarok – 2 hours, 10 minutes
  • Spider-Man: Homecoming – 2 hours, 13 minutes
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – 2 hours, 18 minutes
Captain Marvel will arrive in theaters March 8.

Earlier this week, Amazon rolled out Apple Music support for its Alexa-enabled speakers. That included devices like the Echo, Echo Show, Echo Spot, Echo Dot and more. But what about all of those third-party speakers that feature Alexa? They’re getting Apple Music support as well.
The news was confirmed by Mashable’s Raymond Wong, who asked Amazon the question directly if support for third-party Alexa speakers was going to happen. Amazon said it would happen “in the future” but did not provide details on timing.
🚨UPDATE!!!🚨Amazon has confirmed to me @AppleMusic will be coming to other Alexa enabled devices in the future. When? Idk... but hopefully soon

One of the big advantages Amazon Alexa speakers have over Apple’s HomePod is that it encompasses a lot of different speakers, including third-party ones. Apple’s move to work with Amazon to add Apple Music integration with its Echo speakers is undoubtedly to get Apple Music on more smart speakers. It’s now available on Amazon’s first-party speakers and soon it’ll be available on third-party speakers.

Without warning, Marvel on Friday dropped the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame, giving us our first look at a universe that’s now half empty. As expected, things are not looking good: the Avengers are still in mourning, with little to no hope of undoing the astronomical damage.
The trailer doesn’t give us much in the way of action, instead focusing on the deep trauma caused by Thanos. We do, however, get a few plot clues. Clearly, the Quantum Realm will play a huge role, making Ant-Man a crucial part of the story.
Here are five things we learned from the Avengers: Endgame trailer.

TONY IS STRANDED

After the battle on Titan, Tony was stranded with Nebula following Thanos’ snap. While he escaped the desolate planet, it looks like he’s aimlessly wandering through space, with no food or water and time running out.
The trailer starts off with him sending one final message to Pepper Potts, saying that part of the journey is the end. Clearly, Tony doesn’t think he’s going to survive, but it’s unlikely Marvel will let him go out so quietly.
Will Captain Marvel come to his rescue? Is Nebula still on the ship with Tony devising an escape plan?
“When I drift off, I will dream about you,” Tony says.

HAWKEYE IS NOW RONIN
The introduction of Hawkeye is important. As Captain America is monologuing, he mentions that they’ve lost a lot of friends following the snap. More importantly, they lost family, too. While the trailer doesn’t show it, the hint here is that Hawkeye’s family was dusted by the snap. I think the look on his face says it all.
The theory is that Hawkeye’s character has adopted the identity of Ronin, which refers to the Japanese term for a masterless samurai. In the trailer, Clint Barton is seen in Japan assassinating a group of what appear to be yakuza.
The longstanding theory is that Clint is in Japan hunting down Skrulls, who are set to play a big role in the Captain Marvel movie. It’s unclear how Clint knows who is a Skrull and who isn’t, and how he got to Japan in the first place, but it’s nice to see him back in action.

THANOS IS IN BAD SHAPE

At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos was seen on an unknown planet building a quiet life for himself. The trailer shows that his farm is now thriving, but he’s not in the best shape.
After Thanos used the completed Infinity Gauntlet to snap people to death, he was gravely injured, with the gauntlet also seen to be in poor shape. In the Avengers: Endgame trailer, Thanos can be seen still wearing the broken gauntlet while limping through his crops.
While Marvel wants to show us that Thanos is in poor physical shape, it’s his mental state that we’re more interested in. He looked content at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but given he sacrificed the only thing he ever loved (Gamora) to achieve his goal, the mental toll might be much greater than he can handle.
Will Thanos’ remorse consume him and ultimately see him try to undo the damage?

THE AVENGERS HAVE A PLAN

As the climax of the trailer, Black Widow comforts Steve Rogers by telling him that their plan is going to work. What the plan is is unclear. But it’s incredibly important and the only thing they have left.
Many people have speculated that time travel will play a big role in Avengers: Endgame, so that’s what they could be talking about. Perhaps Bruce Banner has figured out how to harness Hank Pym’s technology to go into the Quantum Realm, where there are time vortexes to explore.

ANT-MAN IS ALIVE

Speaking of the Quantum Realm, Scott Lang survived from his predicament. At the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott was stranded there while collecting energy particles for Ghost. It’s unclear how he escaped, but he didn’t drive all the way to the Avengers headquarters for brunch. He has something to tell them.
What Scott has to tell them could tie directly to the Avengers’ plan. There have been reports that the Avengers go back in time to collect the Infinity Stones before Thanos does, launching a game of cat and mouse. We’ve already seen Avengers: Endgame set pictures showing the battle of New York from the first Avengers, so clearly something big is brewing.

For the first trailer, Marvel did an excellent job of not revealing too much. With all hope lost, the Avengers are left with a crazy plan, which just might result in them undoing the damage from Avengers: Infinity War.

Summer is around the corner, which means it’s time to kick your legs up and binge whatever movie or TV show strikes your fancy. Arriving just in time is Hulu’s list of additions for the month of June.
Topping the list of new additions is the arrival of the third season of Rick and Morty. The series revolves around a sociopathic genius and his grandson as they go on intergalactic adventures. If you’re a fan of animated series like Family Guy and The Simpsons, give Rick and Morty a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
Next up is one of the best trilogies of all time, The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the Rings, The Two Towers and The Return of the King will all be available to stream during the month of June. Unless you are up for the task, I don’t suggest powering through them in one day—each movie is about three hours. I’d suggest spread them out; Peter Jackson’s magnum opus deserves your full attention.
Last up is a bit of a curveball. Paul Thomas Anderson’s Punch-Drunk Love starring Adam Sandler in what I believe is his best performance and the revelation that is Emily Watson deserves a viewing. Sandler portrays Barry Egan, a lonely marketer who is set-up with a pretty woman by his overbearing sister, only to be dragged into a blackmail web due to his habit of phone-sex calls.. Unfortunately it was lost in the shuffle of 2002, although it’s one of the most underrated films of all time.
Those were three suggestions I have for you, but Hulu’s list of additions is long ad full of worthy titles worth check out. The complete list is down below.

Fans won't have to wait long for the Games with Gold April 2018 lineup of free Xbox games to be announced, and then released.
Microsoft usually announce their new roster of free titles around the 20th of every month.
However, we still don’t know what’s going to be included in the official Games with Gold April 2018 lineup of titles.
Microsoft were expected to drop the big news earlier this week, around the usual time.
And while we learnt a great deal about the tech giant’s latest release - Sea of Thieves - no Xbox free games announcement was made.
So it seems very likely that Microsoft will reveal the big news in the next few days.
As usual, this will mean two free Xbox One and two free Xbox 360 games to download.
All are playable on the Xbox One and Xbox One X, due to Microsoft’s Backwards Compatibility program.
Some months have seen top 360 classics help bolster the lineup, with a lot of great games to choose from.
We still don’t know what will be included, or what other bonuses Microsoft might look to include.
There have been no leaks or early reveals, so it’s hard to gauge just what kind of Xbox One games will be included.
The only thing we do know is that March’s SuperHot will remain available until April 15, when it will be replaced by a new title.
But whatever is revealed, fans will be hoping for some top AAA titles to be available next month.
Sony easily took the crown for their PS Plus lineup in March - offering fans the chance to add Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank to their digital libraries.
It’s unclear if Microsoft have any plans to retaliate with a few exclusives of their own, so it’ll be worth keeping an eye on the official Xbox channels in the coming days.
Xbox’s Larry Hryb is the person who usually breaks the news, so expect an announcement from him early this week.
For those who don’t know, Games with Gold offers free Xbox games to qualifying Xbox Live Gold members.

All right! Deadpool 2 trailer is out! It’s funny and intriguing and gives us a good look at Josh Brolin as Cable in action. Of course, just like the last couple teasers, it focuses so much on Deadpool being funny that the actual clips of movie stuff happening are incredibly minimal.
But hey, at least we got that awesome Justice League mustache burn.
Outside of Wade futzing around with action figures and making Infinity Warreferences, let’s look at what the new trailer has to offer.
So, Cable. His glowing eye looks way cooler than the comics ever did. Nathan Summers has always had a convoluted past and the X-Men movies are a convoluted continuity. Or lack of continuity.
It’s established – and obnoxiously reiterated by Deadpool – that Cable is from a war-torn future. The future war has gone on long enough that it started before Cable was born. With the X-Men movies, this would give us the third dark future, what with Days of Future Past and Logan.
Yet...is it really the third future? Could Cable’s future be the one from Logan? It could go either way, really. X-Men movie continuity, especially with Deadpool, is a mess surrounding a shrug, but they have made some attempts to rectify this. Negating Logan from continuity would be cinematic heresy, but its existence already puts an ugly shade on every past-or-present-day X-Men movie, showing how effortlessly and naturally mutants can be brought to the brink of extinction in the aftermath.
Plus it wouldn’t be too out there. Logan already depicts the dawn of society’s collapse while establishing cyborg arms and X-children existing. If Cable’s parentage is brought up, it could be that he was yet another petri dish clone experiment.
Whatever the threat is in this story, it relates to an organization called DMC, appearing on riot shields and the sides of several vehicles driving down the street in broad daylight. As far as I know, this doesn’t match up with any established X-Men faction in the comics.
The "M" is going to stand for "mutant," at the very least. I mean, come on.
We already know about Domino being in this, played by Zazie Beetz, but as she and Deadpool beat up some dudes in white, the background poster and banner raise some questions. “PURITY, HUMANITY, INFINITY” plus that variation of the X-Men logo.
Is this yet another attempt to remove the X-gene or does this tie into whatever organization Ajax was part of? Are they trying to suppress mutant powers or exploit them?
Whoever this kid is, he’s wearing one of those Genosha collars to suppress his powers, so I guess that answers the previous paragraph. I’m just going to needlessly speculate that he’s Goldballs because the guys in charge of a damn Deadpool movie would not back off on the chance to use a mutant character named Goldballs.
We get confirmation that many of Deadpool’s supporting cast will return. Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Vanessa, Weasel, Blind Al, and even Dopinder show up briefly. But the real money shot is this...
So we have three unidentified heroes mixed in here. The guy in-between Domino and Deadpool is the hardest to call because that isn’t the best shot to go on. Is he Maverick? Garrison Kane? Zeitgeist? It’s very much up in the air.
Despite being in the shadows, the one on the other side of Deadpool is most definitely X-Force mainstay Shatterstar. The headgear is a huge tipoff.
That leaves Terry Crews, who is the perfect actor choice to appear in a Deadpool movie. He is most likely Bedlam, though there’s a decent chance that he’s George Washington Bridge. Or maybe he’s just Terry Crews playing himself. I’ve seen those Old Spice commercials. If you told me he had mutant powers, I’d believe you.

Last week, the Internet lost its collective mind when news broke that Marvel was turning Runaways into a TV series on Hulu. The fan-favorite series, which revolves around a group of teenagers who discover their parents are secretly supervillains, is being adapted by the The OC and Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. While many comic book fans were elated by the news, many others were like, wait, Joan Jett is in the Marvel universe? (To my knowledge, she isn’t.) Don’t worry, though — on today’s episode of The Dan Cave, we’re going to teach you everything you need to know about Marvel’s Runaways, so you can prepare your body, mind, and soul for the awesomeness coming your way in 2017.
Editor’s note: this video and post contains spoilers for Marvel’s Runaways, so if you want to go into this TV show completely blind, make like Daredevil and find the nearest hallway.

WHAT IS IT?

Created in 2003 by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, Runaways is a cult classic comic book series based on a question that nearly every teenager has asked himself or herself: what if my parents were secretly supervillains? Well, that’s precisely what happens to the titular teens at the center of Runaways. When they witness their parents—members of The Pride, a secret cabal that rules L.A. with an evil iron fist—turn what is supposed to be a charity gala into an occult ceremony complete with human sacrifice and ritualistic murder, they freak out and, well, run away.

WHO ARE THESE TEENS?

Great question. They are Nico Minoru, Chase Stein, Gertrude Yorkes, Karolina Dean, Molly Hayes, and Alex Wilder. But unlike your average teens, this enterprising ensemble has incredible abilities, powerful gear stolen from their parents, and sweet codenames that they occasionally use.
  • Nico Minoru is the daughter of dark wizards, and is a powerful witch who wields the Staff of One, a powerful artifact that lets her cast any spell, but only once. She calls herself Sister Grimm.
  • Chase Stein, the son of mad scientists, sometimes goes by Talkback and is a mechanical whiz kid who uses his father’s flame-manipulating gauntlets, the Fistigons.
  • Gertrude Yorkes, the daughter of time travelers, calls herself Arsenic and shares a telepathic link with a genetically engineered velociraptor named Old Lace.
  • Karolina Dean, the daughter of alien invaders, goes by Lucy in the Sky and possesses solar-based energy powers.
  • Molly Hayes, the daughter of telepathic mutants, is a mutant with superhuman strength and nigh-invulnerability. She calls herself Bruiser.
  • Alex Wilder, the son of crime bosses, doesn’t need a goofy codename because he’s a baby genius with a mastery of tactics and strategy.
Together, they use their newfound abilities and weaponry to try and uncover evidence that will link their parents to the murder they witnessed.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Well, quite a lot actually — most of it involves them running away. The police turn out to be no help at all. In fact, their ruthless parents wind up framing their powerful progeny for murder and sic the LAPD on them. While on the lam, the gang manages to decipher a mysterious book known as the Abstract using a special decoder ring that Alex obtained. The book reveals that their parents first formed the sinister syndicate known as The Pride back in 1985 after making a pact with a trio of gigantic, six-fingered monsters known as the Gibborim, who just so happen to be elder gods. You know, like H.P. Lovecraft? Right. That kind of elder god.
The Gibborim sought to cleanse the Earth by murdering all of humankind, repopulating it with those of their choosing. To do so, they brought together powerful people from all walks of life and made them an offer they couldn’t refuse: for 25 years, they would have immeasurable wealth and power, which they would use to ready the Earth for the Gibborim to conquer. Except there’s one wrinkle…only 6 members of The Pride would be allowed to live on and rule over their newfound paradise; the other 6 would be obliterated with the rest of mankind. When one member of the Pride accidentally conceived a child, the rest of them decided to have children too, in order to pass on their place in paradise to their next-of-kin. Unfortunately, absolute power corrupts absolutely, which leads to backstabbing, skullduggery, and all manner of murderous intrigue. Let’s just say that things come to an unexpected and brutal head when the Runaways finally confront their parents in the middle of yet another occult ceremony…and not everyone makes it out unscathed.

What can we expect from the show?
Considering the television pedigree of Schwartz and Savage, Runaways is shaping up to be a diverse, teen-centric drama unlike anything we’ve seen so far in the Marvel Universe. It will almost definitely be connected to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, albeit in more tangential ways like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the Netflix shows. After all, even though the Runaways meet Tony Stark and Captain America in the comics, the prospects of seeing Robert Downey, Jr. or Chris Evans on Hulu are slim-to-none. That being said, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to see characters like Cloak and Dagger—who are getting their own TV series on Freeform—to potentially cross over to the burgeoning Hulu-verse. Only time will tell, but considering the strength of the source material, it seems like we’ll have yet another reason to make ours Marvel.
What do you think about the Runaways coming to TV? Who should star in the series? What are your favorite Runaways moments? Let us know in the comments below.
