LeEco officially announced the launch of its broad ecosystem in the US at the “Ignite the Eco World” launch event in San Francisco. The company has been working on the launch since last few months with behind the scenes work going on at full throttle. During the launch event, it announced interesting services and products. UP2U LeEco announced its User Planning to User (UP2U) program to ensure that the customer feedback leads to changing the products to be better in future. According to the program, all the feedback collected by user trials, social media channels, live events and submissions from the on-device apps is sent to User Experience Center (UEC) and Research and Development (R&D) teams. We have a dynamic process for gathering and implementing the feedback into every aspect of our business from design, R&D and software, to pricing and even the content we deliver.” LeEco Ecosystem User Interface (eui) LeEco announced the launch of its custom user interface ‘eui’ which provides a unique interface for the user to interact with the entire ecosystem. The user is not limited by the different devices, software, devices content, apps and platforms. All the content is available across devices to solve the problem of fragmented user experience. To make the entire experience easier, LeEco has introduced LeView as the centre of accessing content where users can just go to the “LeView” to check all their content along with recommendations. LeView is joined with other apps like LeLIVE and LeApp to give you quick access to TV channels and entertainment and programming respectively. Also, the company has opened its Video Cloud platforms spanning across 60+ countries and major cities. The cloud platform is supported with 750 nodes making it the largest CDN node player in the world to make content delivery as easy as possible. Content The company has amassed approximately 5,000 movies and 10,000 television episodes attracting more than 50 million users every day. The numbers increase to more than 730 million active users in China. LeEco has partnered with top content providers like MGM, Showtime, Lionsgate, Vice Media and others with more being added every week. The company will gradually step into original content with Le Vision Pictures to produce new content by the company. It announced the launch of Le Vision back in September to create content in the English language. Subscription LeEco announced the launch of its new ecosystem model to ensure that hardware is affordable and innovative at the same time. The company announced “EcoPass” which will give a two-year warranty on LeEco ecophones along with three-year warranty on ecotvs. Each user gets 5 TB of cloud storage on LeCloud along with unlimited storage for photos and videos along with unlimited movie viewing on Fandor, a subscription movie viewing service. The pass enables each user to access priority customer service and exclusive sale days on LeMall.com. The benefits extend to accessing discounted prices for add-ons provided by content partners in the LeApp. Ecophones LeEco Ecophones were already accidently leaked by LeEco sometime back, but now we have the official announcement of the Ecophones with all the proper specs. LeEco has announced two smartphones which will start selling on November 2 at LeMall website. Both the Ecophones will be equipped with eui, LeApp and LeLIVE app including all the content. Le Pro 3 is the flagship smartphone offering by the company which includes a 5.5-inch display and brushed metal back design. The display is covered with Gorilla Glass to protect the 2.5D curved display on the front. Le Pro 3 packs dual speakers, CDLA technology and support for Dolby Atmos. The device packs Snapdragon 821 and is powered by a 4070mAh battery along with a 16MP camera module on the rear and an 8MP camera module on the front. Le Pro3 is priced at $399, and it will come in Gold and Gray colours with a 3-month EcoPass membership. Le S3 is the second Ecophone announced by LeEco aimed at the budget market. Le S3 comes in an all-metal unibody design along with a 5.5-inch display. The device packs Snapdragon 652 along with 16MP rear camera module and 8MP front camera module. Also, the device packs CDLA technology, fingerprint sensor and support for Dolby Atmos technology. The smartphone will be available in Gold, Gray and Rose Gold colours for $249 along with 3-month EcoPass membership. EcoTVs The company announced the launch of ecoTVs with two ranges, the uMax85 and Super4 X Series. The uMax85 EcoTV is aimed to provide a home cinema experience with its 85-inch display, HDR, Dolby Vision support. uMAX85 comes with Fluid Motion 1920 display technology and Harmon Kardon Audio. It will start selling on November 2 at the LeMall website. uMax85 is priced at $4,999 and will come bundled with 12-month EcoPass membership. Super4 X Series is the second range of EcoTVs aimed at homes with three screen size variants. Super4 X series will include a 43-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch priced at $649, $899 and $1,399 respectively. The 43-inch variant comes with a 3-month membership of EcoPass while other variants come with 12-month EcoPass membership. Both the ranges will be equipped with eui, LeApp and LeLive apps along with Harman Kardon speakers and support for AndroidTV and Google Cast. LeEco SuperBike LeEco previewed several categories of devices including LeEco SuperBike, ExploreVR and LeSEE Pro. LeEco SuperBike is an Android smart bike offering security, connectivity and smart riding system equipped with laser lane markers. The bike will have fingerprint identification, smart look, sensor group, power management system and a two-way radio. The company will launch the bike under UP2U program to gather user feedback on the design for next generation of products. ExploreVR LeEco announced its take on immersive Virtual Reality experience with ExploreVR. The company aims to bring the VR experience to games, apps, TV shows and movies, with all being powered by LeEco Ecophones. LeEco will work on the Snapdragon VR SDK to develop new VR content for the launch of its ExploreVR headset. LeSEE Pro The company previewed its attempts to move into the automotive future with LeSEE Pro. It will be the first self-driving electric vehicle by the company equipped with smart inductive charging, eui, machine learning for facial, emotion and path recognition.
