At India Gadgetz Expo 2016 held in Bengaluru, Intex pulled the wraps off the Aqua 5.5 VR and Aqua Craze II at Rs 5099 and Rs 5,990, respectively. The Aqua 5.5 VR will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 19 October while the Craze II will be made available offline through retail channels.
The 4G Volte-enabled Aqua 5.5 VR sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. Powered by a 64-bit Quad-core Mediatek processor, it includes 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 32GB expandable memory coupled with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
On the camera front, the Aqua 5.5 VR comes with a 5MP front camera, 5MP rear snapper with dual back flash.
Commenting on the launch of both the phones, Unnikrishnan Mohandas, Product Head- Intex Technologies said, “As a technology innovator, it is important for Intex to add valuable assets to the portfolio and create an industry benchmark. After extensive research and user inputs, we developed the Aqua 5.5VR & Aqua Craze II that promise to deliver improved quality of selfies as well as multitasking and better connectivity. Moreover, the improved features like Matrabhasha and in-house VAS feature named LFTY add to the USP of the product.”
Both smartphones feature Intex’s in-house VAS named LFTY – Experience the New Left and Matrabhasha. Left screen concept promises cohesive mix of multi-category content and value adds to the end consumer on the left screen. A single screen for multiple utilities and content categories which also helps filtering pop-ups/distractions on the home screen.Matrabhasha will let users tweet, text, post and WhatsApp in over 21 Indian regional languages.
Both smartphones come with VAS benefits worth Rs 2,849. Finally 2800mAh and 2500mAh battery capacities for the Aqua 5.5VR and Aqua Craze II respectively complete the package.
