Google claims its new Pixel smartphone has the best camera of any mobile device on the market, citing a DxOMark score as proof that it produces superior quality to the iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 7. But all that is just a bunch of bluster if we can’t see actual results. Soon after Google’s event this week, Phandroid posted over 100 images taken with the search giant’s new Pixel devices. You can see all of them in the gallery above. The Pixel comes with a 12.3-megapixel camera featuring an f/2.0 aperture and 1.55 micron pixels. “Our team of photography gurus and image processing experts have spent the last year designing and tirelessly optimizing our entire camera stack,” said Google CEO Sundar Pichai. “Pixel’s camera lets you take stunning photos in low light, bright light or any light,” Pichai added. “Catch action shots as they happen with Smartburst, which takes a rapid-fire sequence of shots and automatically selects the best one. Use Lens Blur to achieve shallow depth of field and bokeh effects, making your subject pop. Google’s Pixel also offers manual settings, giving users more control over exposure, white balance, and more. All of this adds up to the best smartphone camera Google has ever made. The images above certainly look impressive but as Phandroid notes a lot of them have been edited using Snapseed and VSCO Cam. We’ll get a better idea of what the pictures straight out of the Pixel when we get our hands on a retail unit later this month. SOURCE PHANDROID VIA GOOGLE

Google claims its new Pixel smartphone has the best camera of any mobile device on the market, citing a DxOMark score as proof that it produces superior quality to the iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 7. But all that is just a bunch of bluster if we can’t see actual results.
