Flying via business class is pure luxury for many of us. But Billionaires, who are being termed as the new celebrities, want ever thing that screams ‘Check Me Out’! Then how can we restrain ourselves from talking about the first VVIP outfitted BBJ 787-8 that has redefined luxury. This 2,400 square feet corporate aircraft has the ability to fly over 17 hours, non-stop between almost all major cities on earth.
The interior design of this VVIP BBJ 787-8, which has a seating capacity of 40 passengers, was produced by Kestrel Aviation Management together with Pierrejean Design Studio of Paris. In order to minimize the physical toll that a passenger would suffer on 17-hour flights, Kestrel sourced and customized unique materials to push the frontiers of luxury.
“The design concept needed to convey a multi-cultural feeling of Zen, an oasis of peace, soft earth tones, uncluttered flowing lines with the absence of sharp edges, good control of natural and artificial mood lighting. To the touch, we wanted a design that felt organic with surfaces that invited emotional as well as physical connection. Noise and vibration were addressed with extensive soundproofing,” Stephen Vella, CEO, Kestrel Aviation Management.
The aircraft has very subtle work spaces, wonderful wooden flooring, dedicated dining and lounge areas that have been demarcated not with boundaries but with colors. The rear part of the lounge has an innovative convertible table that can be transformed from a coffee table to a dining table. Apart from this, the corporate airplane has also been equipped with 55-inch flat-screen monitors to serve the purpose of entertainment or business. It has beautifully-designed master bedrooms along with bathrooms that take care of the flyers’ privacy.
