Electronics retail chain Croma has tied up with OnsiteGo to offer spill and drop protection plans on its devices across all its outlets in the country. The plan is available for laptops, cameras, phones and tablets depending on the price of the product. Devices covered by the protection plan are picked up, serviced and dropped at the address of the customer, with no extra cost. The plan has a “no questions asked” policy and is meant to provide a hassle-free ownership experience to consumers.
“The partnership with Croma is a landmark partnership for OnsiteGo,” said Kunal Mahipal, CEO of OnsiteGo. “Croma is one of the most trusted brands in India. Their focus on customer service is well known. The fact that they chose OnsiteGo to run the damage protection program is a huge vote of confidence in OnsiteGo.”
“Damage protection plans for digital products is part of the overall plan to provide the customers with a bouquet of value added services,” said Avijit Mitra, CEO of Infiniti Retail. “After closely evaluating proposals from the top players in the industry, we decided to partner with OnsiteGo who already run our extended warranty service. We were impressed with the customer first philosophy of OnsiteGo.”
The plans are available for up to one year after purchase of the device. Damage due to regular wear and tear, such as on the hinges, or damage to accessories such as lenses and batteries are not supported by the plan. Data recovery is not included as part of the service. Every device picked up has a repair time mentioned, failing which OnsiteGo will replace the device at no cost to the user.
