Microsoft’s free-to-play take on their long-running Forza Motorsport series hit PC earlier this year and has been in beta ever since via the Windows store. Microsoft announced that the game is now leaving beta and becoming a full product. Part of becoming a full racing game, even a free-to-play one like Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, is getting proper support for racing wheels. Racing wheels are somewhat of a novelty on consoles, but they’re a staple for racing on PC. The lack of wheel support has been a sore spot for fans of the series since the beta was unveiled.
Now, though, the game supports 11 racing wheels, listed below. When Forza Horizon 3hits Xbox One and PC on September 27, the PC version will support these wheels as well.
Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
Thrustmaster T300RS
Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
Thrustmaster T150
Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel
Microsoft isn’t stopping there, though. In the post, Forza community manager Brian Eckberg calls out the Fanatec Club Sport V2 Xbox One Hub and the Fanatec CSR models as getting support in the future.
If you have one of the wheels above collecting dust (or in active use!), you now have a new, great-looking, free-to-play game to put through its paces.
