OnePlus is back in news again and rumours suggest that the new variant of OnePlus 3, named OnePlus 3T could be the next flagship handset from the company. After giving up on the X series, the company made it clear on simply focusing on flagship devices, which would generalise the quality and brand image of the company.
Keeping up with the same design as the OnePlus3, hardware changes within this smart phone are bound to happen, while putting up with the metal unibody design, the phone would mostly look exactly the same as the OnePlus3 does.
Rumours suggest that the new handset will run on QUALCOMM’s latest Sanpdragon 821 chipset clocking at a speed of 2.4GHz, instead of the existing 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 we see on OnePlus 3, which most likely will give a definite bump to the new flagship, in terms of seed and performance.
The buzz implies that, the new handset will feature LCD display unlike the AMOLED screen that was there on the OnePlus 3 because of shortage, but Carl Pei stated that they would be sticking with Optic AMOLED screen for the anticipated future, while its said that the phone will come running on Android v7.0 Nougat OS, skinned with companies very own Oxygen OS out-of-the-box.
Talking of specs, the new OnePlus 3T would come with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, 4G VoLTE, 64GB storage capacity, Fingerprint sensor, 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera sensor with LED flash, 8 MP front camera, USB Type-C and 3000mAh battery. The company probably might introduce more changes in the specs sheet as and when the launch day keeps coming near, but the already existing OnePlus 3 is quiet remarkable on its own.
Other than this, there were rumours milling over the fact, that a mini variant of OnePlus 3 might be in works too, but the co-founder of the company Carl Pei rubbished the rumour and called it baseless.
