Motorola is working on a new device called Moto M, slated to launch in China on November 8. Full specifications of the device have earlier been leaked online. Now, Netherlands website ‘Nowhereelse’ has put out what looks like press renders of Moto M revealing the smartphone. In a separate report, MyDrivers spotted Moto M listed on company’s official flagship store site for 1,999 yuan (Rs 19,000 approx).
The smartphone revealed in pictures is of golden colour variant and bears the same design as seen on Moto G4 series. However, Moto M looks more sleek and compact. Going by the pictures, this could be the first device by the company to feature a fingerprint scanner on the rear. The Motorola branding is at the rear bottom. The smartphone has curved edges and rear camera lens as well as flash can be seen placed at top.
The press renders show Moto M with water droplets on it, suggesting the device will be waterproof. Moto M will come with 3,050 mAh battery, Turbo Charging technology and USB Type-C. It is expected to support Dolby Atmos speakers and 360-degree viewing. Moto M received TENAA certification two months back, claim reports.
Moto M is said to feature a 5-inch full HD display. It will be powered by a 2.1 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory. Moto M will come with a 16MP primary camera with PDAF as well as 8MP front camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
According to reports, Lenovo Vibe P2 will launch alongside Moto M. The smartphone is the successor of Vibe P1 and was first spotted at IFA 2016. Lenovo Vibe P2 has a 5,100 mAh battery, which is also the USP of the device.
In terms of specifications, the Lenovo P2 has a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display (1920×1080 pixels) and runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. Lenovo is expected to launch two version of the smartphone based on storage: 3GB RAM + 32GB expandable storage and 4GB RAM variant with the same storage. There’s also a 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant for China only it seems.
